As crews battled the largest wildfire in Arizona’s history, we convinced the U.S. Forest Service to allow us to profile one of their hotshot teams – elite firefighters sent to handle the toughest parts of the blaze. I shot this piece during 48 hours of non-stop work that left me smelling like smoke for days.
